Women, work and sport in Italy | The event at CONI
On Wednesday 7th June at the CONI Hall of Honour, the project carried out in collaboration between the Lottomatica Foundation and Fijlkam was launched. On the occasion, the presentation of an original Censis report on “Women, work and sport in Italy” with unpublished data and developments is also planned.
It is a project that aims to support young women living in areas of high social difficulty in Italy to help them undertake sports experiences in one of the disciplines practised within Fijlkam, the Italian Federation of Judo, Wrestling Karate and Martial Arts. It is promoted by the Lottomatica Foundation, which presented the project on Wednesday 7th June at the CONI Hall of Honour in Piazza Lauro De Bosis 15 in Rome. During the initiative, in addition to the new collaboration agreement between the Lottomatica Foundation and Fijlkam, the Report edited by Censis on the subject was presented and discussed, with unpublished data and developments. After a short welcome coffee, the morning programme included introductory greetings from CONI President Giovanni Malagò and Lottomatica CEO Guglielmo Angelozzi. Then, from about 11.25 a.m., the head of research of Censis, Anna Italia, presented the report.

The debate, moderated by the Tg3 journalist Nathania Zevi, had as its participants the president of the Lottomatica Foundation Riccardo Capecchi, the president of Fijlkam Domenico Falcone, the national president of the Women Entrepreneurs Group of FIPE Confcommercio Valentina Picca Bianchi, the director of the ISTAT Department for the development of methods and technologies for the production and dissemination of statistical information Linda Laura Sabbadini and Silvia Salis, Vice President Vicar Coni, who drew the conclusions of the panel.
The event ended with the words of Sara Cardin, former Italian national karate athlete in and Assunta Scutto, Italian national judo athlete, interviewed by the moderator.
