People, communities and regions are at the heart of our projects, priorities and futures. The Lottomatica Foundation was created with precisely this purpose: to help improve the social reality and the environment in which our organisation operates. We aim to pursue this objective through a plurality of initiatives, which may different in tone, but which are still united by the same vision. In this sense, scientific research, support for local communities, the creation of opportunities and social restitution represent four distinct pieces of a single overall design, which inspires commitment, passion and enthusiasm in the Foundation.

When working in the field of sustainable development, we want to put our hearts into it, turning the spotlight on social problems and people’s needs and trying to make a valuable contribution.

In doing this, we pay attention to the environmental, economic and social aspects within the Italian development framework and the European and international context. For these reasons, the Foundation deals in particular with:

a) promoting historical and cultural heritage;

b) promoting the role of innovation and technology, stimulating debate on their impact and potential benefits, with a view to the future

c) sharing the knowledge and skills useful for the growth, progress and sustainability of civil society and regions

d) supporting the advancement of social inclusion, to serve local communities

e) developing educational programmes to support social recovery and respect for diversity

f) promoting a culture of legality

g) researching ESG issues, with particular reference to:

1) the protection of human rights, valuing diversity and equality in the treatment of human beings

2) human health, safety and wellbeing

3) environmental protection, climate change and the circular economy

4) socio-economic progress and regional development

5) economic growth based on innovation and responsible industrialisation
