Lottomatica Foundation presents the second edition of #PiazzAsiago

Back for the second year in row is #PiazzAsiago, the cultural and political event promoted by Lottomatica Foundation, which takes place in Asiago main square from Sunday, July 28 to Friday, Aug. 2, 2024

#PiazzAsiago stands out for its ability to attract a diverse and interested audience, offering about 400 people the opportunity to attend free debates and meetings with prominent figures from the world of politics and current affairs such as the challenge of ecological transition, international conflicts and crises, and the growth of Italian companies in global markets.

The first day, Sunday, July 28, featured Roberto Rigoni Stern, mayor of the municipality of Asiago; Gennaro Sangiuliano, Minister of Culture; and Riccardo Capecchi, president of Lottomatica Foundation, in the presentation of the show. The evening continued with the show“UpDown,” written and directed by Paolo Ruffini. This performance, a direct and poetic investigation of society, uses irony and irreverence to take viewers on a journey that celebrates the beauty that lies in diversity.

“Doing simple things well. This, in a nutshell, is the approach taken by Lottomatica Foundation in implementing its projects. The goal is to promote all those initiatives that restore value to people. To seize the new opportunities that we encounter from time to time, to support and cultivate the talents and uniqueness of individuals, to bring them out so that they leave their mark,” explains Riccardo Capecchi, President of Lottomatica Foundation.

“Paolo Ruffini’s project is, in this sense, perfectly in line with our mode of action. We are working on the issue of professional development in every field, we want to create opportunities for work and awareness because work and skills are for everyone. No one excluded. We then want to ensure, also together with the security forces, redemption opportunities for women victims of violence. This is the vision that guides us in building projects and collaborations with all those actors who want to take the same path. Through this model we are certain not only to give back, but above all to develop value for the community, thus respecting our commitment and our project vocation,” Capecchi concludes.

Lottomatica Foundation, main sponsor of the event, renews its commitment to promoting high-value cultural initiatives, contributing to the spread of a culture of dialogue and open discussion.
