People<\/strong>, communities<\/strong> and regions<\/strong> are at the heart of our projects<\/strong>, priorities<\/strong> and futures<\/strong>. The Lottomatica Foundation was created with precisely this purpose: to help improve<\/strong> the social reality<\/strong> and the environmen<\/strong>t in which our organisation operates. We aim to pursue this objective through a plurality of initiatives, which may different in tone<\/strong>, but which are still united by the same vision<\/strong>. In this sense, scientific research<\/strong>, support for local communities<\/strong>, the creation of opportunities<\/strong> and social restitution<\/strong> represent four distinct pieces of a single overall design<\/strong>, which inspires commitment, passion<\/strong> and enthusiasm<\/strong> in the Foundation.<\/p>\n

When working in the field of sustainable development<\/strong>, we want to put our hearts into it<\/strong>, turning the spotlight on social problems<\/strong> and people\u2019s needs<\/strong> and trying to make a valuable contribution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In doing this, we pay attention to the environmental<\/strong>, economic<\/strong> and social<\/strong> aspects within the Italian development framework<\/strong> and the European<\/strong> and international context<\/strong>. For these reasons, the Foundation deals in particular with:<\/p>\n

a) promoting historical<\/strong> and cultural heritage<\/strong>;<\/p>\n

b) promoting the role of innovation<\/strong> and technology<\/strong>, stimulating debate on their impact and potential benefits, with a view to the future<\/p>\n

c) sharing the knowledge<\/strong> and skills useful for the growth<\/strong>, progress and sustainability of civil society and regions<\/p>\n

d) supporting the advancement of social inclusion, to serve local communities<\/p>\n

e) developing educational programmes<\/strong> to support social recovery and respect for diversity<\/strong><\/p>\n

f) promoting a culture of legality<\/p>\n

g) researching ESG issues<\/strong>, with particular reference to:<\/p>\n

1) the protection of human rights<\/strong>, valuing diversity and equality in the treatment of human beings<\/p>\n

2) human health<\/strong>, safety and wellbeing<\/p>\n

3) environmental protection<\/strong>, climate change<\/em> and the circular economy<\/em><\/p>\n

4) socio-economic progress<\/strong> and regional development<\/p>\n

5) economic growth based on innovation<\/strong> and responsible industrialisation<\/p>\n
